I have two classic cars insured with a competitor of Footman James. Just purchased another classic car (1999 Suzuki Vitara)& thought I would give Footman James a chance at insuring it. Spent ages filling out an online form only to find out that they did not want to insure the vehicle with no reason given! Contacted them by email & was told that a 1999 Suzuki Vitara is not listed as Classic!
Just insured this vehicle with another Classic vehicle insurer (Lancaster) & received excellent service. Avoid Footman James. Definately will not be wasting my time going to them again

I have just had a dreadful experience with this company, took my money then the following day told me I would need to submit an engineers report, when I said I would rather cancel as this was an unreasonable request I was told I would have to pay 25 cancellation fee (after THEY moved the goalpost) I would add that this was for a pretty standard MX5.
On one of my quotes I accidentally listed a modification as an induction kit when it was only a non std filter (not being totally familiar with my new car). More or less calling me a liar.
