Off piste skiing is any skiing or snowboarding activity away from marked and controlled slopes. However, ski touring is a ski journey that includes the use of skins, sometimes ropes or crampons for safety but ascents of peaks that are walking ascents that do not include technical mountaineering in the climbing or alpinism style of ascent.
At Snowcard we offer cover for single trips of duration's upto 90 days as well as annual multi trip policies covering several holidays a year. Our annual multi trip policy has a single trip limit of upto 31 days but this can be extended to either 45, 60 days per trip or 90 days. Snowcard are not currently offering cover for 'Single trip' long stays exceeding 3 months.
Please refer to activies covered for full details of the sports we will cover for amateur compeitions or races. This does not apply to winter sports package holidays with ski school lessons where there is an end of week ski race. Snowcard will continue to offer cover for amateur cross country and trail riding events under the Extreme Adventure level of cover.
All Snowcard policies have search and rescue cover as standard including air ambulance/helicopter evacuation should you become injured or taken ill. You should call the emergency assistance service on +44 (0)1273 071784 as soon as possible and assistance will be provided in organising payment of any rescue expenses and assisting you in repatriating you to the UK as quickly as possible.
