Easy to fill in quotation request details online, via confused.com. When she rang to check these details, Lynda was delightful, very helpful, very clear to understand on the phone. The e-mail address I received in the initial welcome letter did not work and my request was bounced back to me - might be worth checking?

BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS! Another fraudulent company linked to Grove and Dean and based from the same premises in Romford. These companies trick you into buying their policies and, the very next day call you and make up a story that you have filled in the forms incorrectly and you either have to pay hundreds extra or you will have your policy cancelled and they will keep a premier for their troubles.

WE have reported these two to the Motor Insurance Bureau and they said they have numerous cases against these companies and are currently investigating them. Their supposed 5 star reviews are all paid reviews and company employees. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THESE COMPANIES, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!

Spoke with Lynda who provided excellent service during a quote to renew my Motorhome insurance. I originally was going to not renew due to finding a cheaper quote however due to Lynda's expertise and confirming I could use my maximum no claims earned on a car on the Motorhome (several other providers said no to this) it brought down the premium. There was still another quote I had been given which was slightly cheaper, but due to the great service and expertise provided by Lynda I decided this outweighed choosing a slightly lower premium elsewhere so have stayed with Performance Direct for another year.

I contacted Performance Direct today after looking at my renewal insurance policy which didn't identify the agreed Classic value of 12000. I spoke to Max on the Service Desk who was excellent. As explained, I was a bit concerned that the agreed valuation wasn't in the new contract/policy, but he assured me that the valuation they the agreed valuation would be current for a period of two years and that all the photos sent last year would be transferred to the new insurer.
He was very patient, understanding and more than helpful. If this is a reflection of the Service provided by Performance Direct then I will certainly be using them in the future. Thank you.

Genuinely one of the most difficult and stressful insurance brokers/policies i've ever had. This one proved the adage of you get what you pay for. Really poor experience overall. At the start - dead easy to deal with and their rates look fantastic. But, once you sign its a different story. They had an issue (incorrectly) with my no claims - they threatened me multiple times with insurance withdrawal and legal measures by letter.
You cant reach them back and when you do, it's generally someone answering in the wrong dept (this is a near constant with them) The website is slow and clunky and generally unhelpful. They incorrectly took my named driver (verbal change) and managed to spell both 1st and 2nd names wrongly (both are common UK names. eg Ruth was spelled Ruff!) - again, took over 6 weeks to get resolved.
Today I had to contact them again. Again, usual slow and uninterested service. I wanted to cancel - and the small print kicks in. Clawback commission 40! Broker cancellation 75

Do not use! After not cancelling a policy on time but them still taking direct debits, they charged us a cancellation fee when we no longer owned the vehicle! Their fees did not add up either.being told by one member of the company they would reimburse the overpaid direct debits, the next team member wanted an "admin broker" fee which did not make sense, and plucked from thin air! Not a good company! Go elsewhere

Not happy with increase, and to mention my age is offensive. when i agreed to continue with your firm I was paying 393, now 541, and for a lesser cc car, and no accidents or claims. However the young lady Dawn who spoke with me was very kind and understanding. Next year will be with a different company and if i can get help possibly sooner. David

AVOID! keep wanting my current mileage even tho I have sent it via email. Their charges are outstanding! CHECK YOUR V5 FOR THE EAXCT DATE YOU BROUGHT THE CAR. other wise you will also have to pay ALOT extra. Asked to cancel and got told I would only receive 8 refund ( policy has only been active 9 days!)

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Insured my MX5 2 days ago, got an email this morning asking me to call them, called and they are closed. Just found out they have cancelled my policy without any notice! If I hadn't have checked then I could have gotten points, a fine and had my car taken off me! Terrible customer service! Avoid! I will never be using them again!

Renewing for a 3rd year with Performance Direct. Renewal quote was cheaper than those from other modified-car specialist brokers. Dawn was very pleasant to deal with over the phone, pro-actively and promptly returning calls with additional information/clarification. Not had cause to make a claim through them yet (fingers crossed) so cannot comment on that aspect of their business. Overall, very happy.

We needed to change our cherished moor car policy because the existing one had too low an annual mileage limit for our purposes. Vicky found another more suitable policy very quickly and set up the cancellation of the old policy and the commencement of the new insurance speedily and very efficiently, whilst being extremely courteous at all times.

I would like to say I will not use Performance direct again as the cancellation fee is extortionate. I run 2 vans 3 motorbikes and 2 cars. so lots of opportunity for further business. I could understand a 25 to 30 fee but 55 to cancel is extortionate. The actual cover was only running for 8 days in its 2nd year as had sold the car. Cover cost was only 1.51 for the 8 days so the 55 was all broker charges.

I have always rated Performance direct, great customer care and always responsive until my renewal this year when it was just a case of 'computer says no' when updating my address they couldn't obtain a quote for the new postcode, end of story - no following it up or investigation or finding other insurers. the agent just just couldn't be bothered and sent through my no claims information in less than a minute. Very disappointing after all these years.
