Rias are part of Ageas, who provide insurance to nearly 5 million* motor, home, travel and business customers. Uninsured driver promise** - if your car is hit by an uninsured driver your excess will be reimbursed and your no claims discount reinstated. Courtesy car included as standard - whilst your car is being repaired by our approved repairer.
Buildings cover - protects the structure of your home, plus your fixtures and fittings, garden walls, gates, drives and patios. Personal legal protection gives you up to 50,000 of cover to assist with a range of legal matters. We offer two levels of home protection cover, which give you 24-hour assistance in the event of an emergency in your home.

Seems like a great cheap company until you need to make changes. 25 a time for some help over the phone. They mess up your details then charge you to correct them. My initial policy doubled from 335 because of their mistakes. Then they'll charge you another 25 to cancel the policy. Money grabbing wherever they can.

They dont offer business use for a variety of jobs, they do offer it for some but not what i needed. seen alot of bad reviews. Not been in that position yet and hopefully i dont endup having to go down claim route as iv not got high hopes after reading reviews, 3 stars though as iv not had a bad experience so far just cant get delivery insurance

Disappointed by their claim that you can change your vehicle in your account. I tried to do this 3 days running without success. I also tried to call them twice and was on hold for over 30 minutes each time. Eventually, I had to insure elsewhere and then when I came to cancel my policy, they charged me 50 even though I was paid up until September 22. Disgraceful money making for pressing a few keys on a keyboard. You only know how good an insurance company is until you need something! At your own risk.

Not happy with this company at all. They're appalling. Obviously working from home and nobody knows what they're doing because I've rang four times and I've had the calls hung up. So frustrating, we're paying for a service that's not being provided. As if things aren't bad enough with these storms they make it even worse by not being contactable.

Having made a claim for storm damage there is very poor communication both by email and telephone. I have now sent five emails and made numerous calls with no response apart from automated acknowledgement. Waiting over 3.5 hours on hold during my calls and still not talking to an agent is unacceptable. Very poor customer service

I called RIAS to make an amendment to the home insurance cover I have in place for my mum's home. I noticed that the initial Home Emergency cover did not include boilers, so I called RIAS and spoke with Barbara who was really helpful and assisted making the changes to the policy easy and smooth. She explained the t&c and provided a breakdown of the cost to make changes to the policy.
If you want boiler cover within the home emergency then make sure you pick home emergency plus cover which is 55.00 for the year. Thank you Barbara for making the process smooth and for explaining when I would be able to claim under the policy, which is 14 days.

HI NEVER USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY THEY ARE NOTHING BUT THIEFS I PUT IN A CLAIM FOR MY CATLIST CONVERTER TEHFT AND THEY NOT WANT TO PAY FOR IT AND STARTED TO PICK LITTLE MINOR THINGS ON.MY CAR WHICH i DID NOT MAKE A CLAIM FOR AND WRITE MY CAR OFF AND OFFERED ME 300 FOR THE CLAIM WHEN THE CAR IS WORTH 1200 THERE MANAGER HANNAH IS A TRAINED CON ARTIST BEAWEAR OFF WHEN ITS TO PAY BACK THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY YOU ANYTHING I HAVEN'T ACCEPTED THE OFFER AND CASE IS ON GOING WELL LET YOU NOW ANY UPDATES FOR NOW KEEP AWAY

Everything was fine until you want to make a claim. So we had our driveway wall damaged by a vehicle. The driver drove off but he have CCTV evidence. Spoke to rias Claims. Provided Registration, CCTV footage. Police CAD reference as requested. We were then told to find 2 quotes and they will settle cash In lieu. Having submitted 2 builder quotes (which was a difficult task in itself with builders as not many are interested in small jobs) Waited 3 weeks for a reply still no response. Had to wait 45 mins for someone to pick up.
Then they turn around and say that they need to come and assess with their appointment contractor. I mean why they couldn't do this in the first place is beyond me?! We are still awaiting a response from RIAS regarding the repair to the damaged wall as it is unsafe and we have young children and my father is disabled. Not to only mention, it took them 2 weeks to check if the third party vehicle was insured.
I mean this is something which can be checked immediately online. Such slow customer service and the staff just don't know what they are in about. I will definitely be reconsidering renewing my policy with them

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Quite possibly the worst insurance company I've had the pleasure of using. I've been driving 15-20 years and never have had to deal with a company like this. I don't tend to ever go out of my way to provide a bad review but I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction for this abysmal, sad excuse for an insurance company.

You only know if your insurance is any good if you have to make a claim. I recently had a genuine claim due to the heavy rain, possibly from Storm Bella but certainly Storm Christoph, in which rain water was found in my home. RIAS dismissed it immediately, without sending an assessor, claiming their 'satellite data' did not support my claim. Despite raising a complaint, I've heard nothing.
I have since asked for a refund and gone with a more reputable and trusted company. In my opinion, I'd advise others to go elsewhere as RIAS products are not fit for purpose. Had my fingers burnt, but never again will I use RIAS for anything. I'm now gathering all evidence to go to the ombudsman about my case.

I was able to obtain an excellent quote for car insurance and to sign up with the minimum of fuss. Everything was clearly explained and I was able to tailor my cover to meet my exact requirements. As regards my quotation, it was much more reasonable than the renewal price I had received from my existing provider. All in all, my experience can simply be described as "first class".
