Services
Created in 1993, the company was started in a small office in Westbourne, Bournemouth with Ian Penfold opening the doors without a single policy to its name. Fuelled by enthusiasm, a strong self-belief in how a good client focused business should be run, how to look after key staff, and just believing in all those ingredients, combined with a fair wind it would provide a new vibrant brokerage.
At A-One, we believe it's important to maintain the beliefs and values of when we were first established. We've grown considerably and we're proud of that, but we won't forget our roots. That's why we ensure each member of staff is cared about. Our staff aren't numbers, they're part of the A-One family.
We host a full in house training and development scheme, offering a unique pathway for young people to establish a rewarding career. We understand qualifications come with time and the traditional academic route is not suited to everyone. Unfortunatley, this means some truly great, talented people with a driven personality can be overlooked.
Here at A-One, we like to be part of good things. We also know that stakeholder relationships are important, that's why we'll work hard to make them work. Janine is proffesinal and organised, with a friendly and approachable attitude. She offers advice and clarification when needed, and she does so with a positive and upbeat attitude. Janine Davis was superb! I had to make a claim that was not dealt with properly by the management company that manages my building (Safepm). When I contacted the insurance company myself, Janine Davis patiently listened to all problems that had occurred and was extremely helpful in finding solutions and advising how to move forward with the claim. Harry Smart was extremely helpful and explained our options very clearly. He helped us through the claim provcess which could have been very stressful but was not. WOW! almost certainly the most professional, friendliest company I have ever dealt with. Anthony Bristow took on our claim and a measly offer was pushed up with skills that only someone who really knows their stuff could do. thought I had a way with words but Anthony's are well beyond my pay grade! this guy could beat anyone into submission Thank goodness he's in insurance and not law. Not a hope in hell with getting off with an ill fitting glove! We would not hesitate passing all our insurance needs this company's way including my beloved boat.
