Here is my full experience with autoscam Be very wary of this unscrupulous company, they will do whatever they can to add on charges. Autonet also put you on a automatic renew policy, so if you forget to cancel when it's time, they auto renew at whatever the cost is, I got a letter to notify me one day before they done the auto renew, this shows its a tactic to catch people out. also got charged a renewal fee, 101 yes that's right a fee for a returning customers as well as the cost of the insurance itself, if that doesn't scare you off you deserve to be scammed.
Even if you can find cheaper insurance it's to late to cancel, and not worth cancelling as now there are charges to cancel. I would stay well clear, I would even pay extra to avoid, because they might be cheaper but they will find a roundabout way of making you pay more over the time of the policy. My biggest takeaway from this is read the terms and conditions, because company's like this are banking you don't so they can get away with all the charges and add ons they want.
After autonets latest reply here's the conclusion. So your basically saying, no point to me trying to recover the 101 renewal fee that allows me to pay to be a returning customer, and yes if your reading this that is as crazy as it sounds, and by this company's standards justified as its in the terms and conditions that mostly nobody reads. In otherwards as well as the auto renew tactic for ripping off customers, there's a renewal fee tactic also. Makes the review title autonet insurance one of the most unscrupulous company's out there, more than justified in my book. I Just hope enough people see the bad review I will be posting everywhere I can, to warn off as many as possible. Can't see the company lasting with these tactics anyway

I used an on line comparison site to obtain a quotation for my classic car as I do every year. The price was competitive and I called to Autoney to activate the quotation. It took nearly 40 minutes to on the phone and then I was told the policy price had increased by over 15%, when the call finished Autonet has changed the quotation to expired during the call. I find this dishonest and unnecessary. Poor experience. I did not take the policy.

Used to be good. Had a great price on a first quote with autonet and also a theft claim sorted out without issue Inc taking to main dealer., price came down also a year after. But now just had a super silly quote from Lucy the Robot after bank holiday. Not helpful at all regarding cancel and replace or piggy back insurance on another vehicle. - maybe I was just unfortunate. Will try direct-line or probably admiral for multi-car policy.

The test of an insurance company is the service is when you make a claim. They failed to deliver on this. We had someone run into our side, they then reversed back into us. Fortunately only scratches. They did nothing they refused to pay or support as we were not injured and they said it was a police matter - and not insurance. We have paid to put scratches right. They used Ageas insurance. Then spend god knows how long on the phone. AVOID this company. Wish I had read the reviews before.

Their claims service is a joke. Claims are handled by another company. This company told me my insurance had been cancelled last year. Checked my policy and found that they had given me the wrong information. I was then told to phone the insurance company shown on my policy document myself. What is the point of using a broker! Needless to say when this current scrape is sorted I'll be going direct.and cutting out the broker.

I have just taken a policy with this company. Firstly I have no policy documentation. Secondly their website is partially down and has been for some days. Thirdly I made a mistake and did not declare an accident for one of the named drivers and they put the policy price up without telling me making them more expensive than other providers - I understand the need to increase but talk to me and let me know. Fourthly Live Chat does not seem to week and finally it took forever to get through by phone.
I am inside my 2 week cooling off period which I thought was a legal cooling off period but I have been told not the case with them it is not applicable. I am stuck! I have a number of vehicles and certainly won't use them for those on renewal.

Stay away from this insurer! I took out a van insurance from them via comparethemarket.com During the quote I was asked about any claims made in the last three years. I was happy with the quote and went with Autonet. I received a letter a few days later asking me to get in touch with them. On speaking with them, they said they did further checks and that I had made a claim within the last 5 years, I would have to pay an additional 104.
I explained I was asked in the last 3 years, not 5 years. I asked to cancel the policy to which I was charged 50. Awful customer service, stay away and choose a company that is more professional and look after their policy holders.

AVOID this insurance company! Like others have said in reviews I have also been a victim of this company's terrible service. I called up and after 10 minutes I managed to speak to the rudest employee who was very unhelpful as I wanted to cancel the policy. They charge 50 to cancel which is absolutely disgusting especially when the policy was so cheap and I had a couple of months left, they then proceeded to send THREATENING emails regarding collecting the payment and that I owe them more than the stated 50! Without trying to call me first. Don't become a victim like so many from these criminals.

Don't use this company for Car Insurance. Terrible Car Insurance Company, 20 mins on hold cancelled my car insurance as do not need my car any more, was told I was due 64 rebate, however less a 50 cancellation fee so only being refunded 14!? I paid the policy in full when I took it out. Never had a claim, have full no claims and still a kick in the teeth 50 cancelation fee DISCUSTING steer well clear of Autonet insurance, next stop Twitter and Facebook Had a reply from Samantha Autonet Insurance, not good enough, hiding behind Terms of Business, how about some good customer relations and a gesture of good will Samantha.? 10 or even 15 cancelation fee would have been acceptable but 50! complete Rip Off Had another reply this one from Hayley, now referring me to the complaints department, as I know and all that reads this now extensive review, contacting the complaints dept will be a waste of time and get me nowhere and certainly will not get my 50, so I say to you also Hayley do the right thing and refund the 50 as stated I will accept 10 or 15 cancelation fee but not 50 do the right thing Hayley and Autonet Insurance. by all means call me.
This could go and on. I was right now 22nd November and still nothing from complaints dept. glad I did not need to make a claim! perish the thought. avoid this company at all costs! Philippa my policy reference 3557780/4/aH4/rJX/REN/PC I have filled in the online complaints form reference Id-GERLX9JE now please do the right thing and refund at least half of your ridiculous 50 cancelation fee!
Well its now 8th December and no communication from the complaints dept or anyone from Autonet Insurance, and why am I not surprised! rubbish company with rubbish staff complete rip off merchants! Well here we are Christmas Eve and still no reply or response. I have been in contact with the Guinness Book of Records as I have nominated Autonet Insurance for the worst customer services in the UK, possibly the world.
I am being ignored but I will not go away until I receive my refund. Thank you Philippa, Haley, Chloe and Nicola you have just made a big contribution to your companies 1 star review. This could go on and on!

Have used Autonet for a few years, and this years renewal doubled in price. When I contacted them to cancel my policy they made it virtually impossible. I feel that being an auto renewal policy they up the price a huge amount knowing you can't stop it. I will not use them again, and will strongly advise all I know not to. You would think in a competitive industry they would be more friendly and flexible.

Dishonest. Took out a car insurance policy through Autonet. Just 2 weeks in we changed our car to a diesel Volvo and were quoted over 650 to change the policy over, when comparison sites quoted less than 300 for a new policy. When we cancelled we were refunded 125 on a 205 premium, Costing us 80 for 2 weeks insurance. Disgusting business tactics from a shyster company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

An absolutely dreadful experience with this company who I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. They wanted 173 + to change my current policy to a new vehicle, same make, same model, and to cancel my policy meant I have paid 150+ for one month's insurance cover! Their service is nothing short of abysmal. Never, ever, use this company. I am contacting the Insurance Ombudsman about this company's sharp practices.

Would leave one star but unfortunately Google doesn't allow that probably working in favour of auto-net but anyway just paid them 99 for a monthly installment and asked for cancellation one week later they still wanted 42 right near the end of my policy as well. Spoke to Georgie she was unwilling to talk to anyone else in cancellations or management to waiver the fee.
Also struggle to tell me the difference between fees if I was to cancel one week earlier seems as though they're making it up as they go along just to get the maximum from hard working public. Also just wanted to mention their boring on hold service says that they have 700 call staff, and I still couldn't answer my call, I was on hold for the majority the call and it took 45 minutes to resolve won't be using them again, absolute waste of time and money.
