Was engaged in transporting staff to the NEC for a caravan and motor home show. The staff I met were very pleasant and a good advertisement for their company. Special mention to Matthew the navigator and Chloe who ate her tea without spilling it and in silence. On what I saw I would recommend this company and look forwards to meeting them again.

Sadly I was stung for over 50 when having no choice but to cancel my cover after 1 month with Supersure, which is under Caravan Guard. I had returned my brand new Swift caravan was not fit for purpose within the 30 days. There was no compassion for me as a customers in a difficult situation beyond my control. The statement provided was "we are not at fault, so do not need to reimburse the admin fee".
I was advised I could get 40 of the money back if I opted to take out a new policy, which on attempting to do with Caravan Guard was double the price with the request of a tracker being fitted within 15 days because my new caravan was not a Swift. Very Disappointing. Update. The company did reimburse the 40 as a good will gesture with an apology.

Set up new policy last month and had no knowledge off when they intended to take out first direct debit as was new policy I thought that the first month payment would come straight out or have a direct debit date sent to me. This didn't happen and I missed a payment. There default payments are close to 30. I have now open a case with financial ombudsman with all emails and contracts been sent to them for them to investigate further on the fees and lack off communication when comes to setting up ur new policy.
So ad advice any one who wishes to use this company be very aware that there charges out weigh the actual years insurance and are on a money grab in this situation. Hasn't given me much confidence with them. And now looking at other insurance companies and happy to.pay the 30 cancellation fee just so that in any other miss communication I.e they don't bother to email you a head off such high penalties.
I'm guessing they wouldn't be any good at paying out if there was something to happen with my van with regard to my van and lost all confidence in them. Will follow up with what the ombudsman has to say so people know

I purchased motorhome insurance online, then got an email saying my proof of no claims was not acceptable. I had to cancel and have been charged 57.50 because I cancelled 2 days after the 14 day period. Despite the staff I phoned agreeing that the website is not worded correctly and that I had highlighted an issue, I was refused a refund of the legal expenses and breakdown cover. Very disappointed. No insurance and 57 down due to poor quality website. If your going to get insurance of these guys just call them.

Last year we needed to live in our caravan for a period of time whilst buying a house in Scotland. Caravan Guard were the only company I could find to insure us under these circumstances and were so thorough on the phone when I arranged our insurance. After many years of caravanning I've sold my caravan and am picking up a new motor home tomorrow. Caravanguard offered me all the cover I needed for a very reasonable price (£130 less than others). They have been very courteous and efficient on the phone and it's been a pleasure to deal with their advisers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to insure a motor home.
