Admiral Yacht Insurance was launched in 1991 when its Boat Insurance Policy was created. Managing Director Robert Holbrook who was previously a partner in a firm of London Insurance Brokers, and a keen yachtsman himself, recognised the need for flexible Yacht Insurance that met the needs of both sailing yacht and motor yacht owners. We specialise in Sailing Yacht Insurance and Motor Boat Insurance for boats based in the UK, Northern European waters, the Mediterranean, South East Asia and the Caribbean as well as bluewater cruisers undertaking long distance voyages.

Nice as pie until you need to claim then 99% obstructive and unhelpful. I had an accident some years ago which was settled by the other party's insurer direct, without recourse to Admiral, but they still demanded an excess and threatened suspension of the policy if I didn't pay it. Not at all sure that was legal
