Services
At Brit, we believe that the uncertainty of the future should never stand in the way of progress. That's why we exist. To help people and businesses face the future and thrive. Every day, we channel our entrepreneurial expertise to write the most opaque risk that the future holds, embracing the change faced by our clients by delivering a service that's open, honest, and fair.
Underscored by comprehensive underwriting, claims and risk services, we operate as a market lead across our full range of services. Working in partnership with our brokers and clients, our expertise and service make us a market of choice in all our distribution channels. We offer three main products and are also able to offer specialist cover for diverse and esoteric risks. We flex our service to deliver across five core segments, to provide the right level and breadth of cover for every type of business.
Both our Property and Casualty Treaty teams have delivered strong and consistent performance over a number of years, driven by our talented and experienced team of lead underwriters who offer our core client base meaningful long-term support. We continue to be a 'go to' market for treaty business in Lloyd's.
Our culture is one where you can be yourself. We think that if you bring your authentic self to work, then you will thrive, and we will too. Building a diverse and inclusive culture doesn't happen overnight though. It's a journey that our people are part of. Take our People Forum for example. Employees can contribute to topics like race, identity, sexual orientation, belonging, disability and mental wellbeing. We encourage our people to meet across teams, share personal stories and understand different perspectives.
Our charitable efforts help many people far and wide; such as some of the young girls and boys who attend Soweto Academy in Kibera (one of the largest slums in Africa). Kibera is a vast slum in the suburbs of Nairobi, Kenya. Home to approximately 400,000 people, Kibera has no running water, no waste disposal and the education system is virtually non-existent.
